I am drawing and writing in a daily journal. It's become a lovely evening-time habit. Recording snippets of experiences and thoughts. Detailed drawings that may have colour added, but some may not. This one I quite like as is. A section of the ruined Tynemouth priory from a visit recently. A lovely way to unwind.

Daily journal. A wonderful new habit where I write every day, draw a little and paint a little. Just recording small snapshots of my week . I so often fail to recognise the beautiful variations from my week to week. Picking up my work from an exhibition at the Mining Museum one week, visiting a beautiful Priory the next, a gallery the next. This evening journal is helping me notice and appreciate so many moments that would ordinarily merge into one.
.
I am enjoying a more detailed, observational drawing practice in this book. The gestural, messy work happens elsewhere. There is purpose in both.
.
Inspired by the stunning work of @dinabrodsky and the Sketchbook Habit.
